Trying to view JPEG files from Outlook 2003 SP2 using MS Picture Manager.

Picture Manager begins to load up and then gives the following error:
---
MS Visual C++ Runtime Libarary
Runtime Error
Program C:\Progra~1\Micros~1\Office11\ois.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please Contact the applications support team for more information
---

I cannnot find any details of where to contact the support team.

I have done the following with no improvement:

1. Run a Repair of the Office installation
2. Installed MS Office Service Pack 2 - all other patches for Office and
WinXP are up to date.
3. Run virus/spyware scans with tools from multiple vendors.
4. Changed JPEG file association to use MS Paint - was able to open JPEG
attachments with no problems.
5. If I save the file locally and then open it, MS Picture Manager works
fine, so it's not related to file corruption.
6. A complete un-install/re-install of Office fixed the problem several
weeks ago, but it's popped back up again and re-installing Office every few
weeks is not an option.

A search of newsgroups found two other users with an identical problem, but
neither appears to have found a resolution.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

try this:
Method 1: Use for Microsoft Windows XP
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Themes.
3. Click Display.
4. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
5. On the Troubleshoot tab, move the Hardware acceleration slider
control to the third position (from the left), and then click OK.

Note The following message is the description for this position:
Disable all DirectDraw and Direct 3D accelerations, as well as all
cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. Use this setting to correct
severe problems with DirectX accelerated applications.
6. Click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.

It doesn't[to seem to be an Outlook issue so if you continue to experience
the problem try an Office group.
