picture disappears from view when scrolling.

After inserting a picture into an excel worksheet it disappears when I scroll
down and it leaves the viewing window. Once I scroll back up it is gone from
view but the picture is still technically there. If I click on it and move it
slightly it comes into sight again. Any help as to what to do would be
greatly appreciated. I would like to always see all of my pictures when I
scroll up and down. Thanks

Try reducing or turning off hardware acceleration in Start | Control
Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot. If this fixes the
problem, then you might want to check the website of the manufacturer of
your video card/graphics adapter to see if there is an updated driver
available.

Thanks for replying. I tried reducing the hardware accelerationstep by step
and tried each time to see if it worked but it hadn't. It still happens that
while looking at a picture I can scroll down then back up and its gone, it's
actually still there but all I can see are the 8 edge points that are around
the picture but no image. Thanks again.

I had a similar problem at work once and it turned out when I checked Tools
Options >View Objects the Show Placeholders was checked instead of Show
All

Sorry no. That was the only experience I have ever had of trouble seeing
pictures in XL and I am retired now so I don't have access to that computer.

How many pictures have you got in the Workbook? Could it be a resources
issue? What happens if you insert a picture in a new workbook, does it view
OK then?

I have only 3 small pictures and it is so frustrating...I can scroll so that
only 1/2 of the picture is visible on the screen and when I scroll back so
that I should be able to see the whole picture only 1/2 is still visible,
it's driving my crazy!

I have noticed that the problem is only with pictures that are recently added
to the excel worksheet...once it is saved my problem quit. Hope this helped.
