Picking data from Access database in Excel

I wanted to pick data from a database in Access through a query written in Excel
how do I establish ODBC connectivity between the two

Use the menu items
Data
-> Import External Data
-> New Database Query

From here you can create or select a data source and set up new ones as
required.
then use the the macro recorder to establish the query into code for further
use.
