PhotoStory3 Help

Thought I had successfully burnt a CD of my PhotoStory to view on TV. OK on
my set but will not work in other DVD players. Read PapaJohns site which is
very helpful but get a bit mind boggled cause only new at this but have to
get it right soon.
Do I use the profile Setting in PhotoStory - Profile for CD - PAL(386x288)
or Profile for DVD - PAL (768x576) I am in Australia and our system is PAL.
Is there any difference in burning to a CD to burning to a DVD. I can fit
it onto a CD.
Can someone PLEASE help with my settings. PapaJohn said that it has t be a
WMV file. Will PhotoStory or Nero convert that for me? Has to be able to be
viewed through all DVD players.

This is not a profile issue...that problem is that
you have created a Data CD...IOW...you simply
burned a copy of your .wmv file on a CD blank.

In order for your PhotoStory to play on a free
standing DVD player you must create a VCD
(Video CD)...or a Video DVD. This requires
authoring software...such as...NeroVision Express,
WinDVD Creator, ProShow Gold, etc....

And...your DVD player must be compatible with
home-made VCDs and /or DVDs. Many are but
some are not...

BTW...the retail version of MS Digital Image 2006
Suite...includes a version of PhotoStory that will burn
a VCD. (This version 3.1 is not available any other way)

I successfully burned a vcd using photostory 3.1 (at least the prompt said I
did and the cd is 2/3rd's full now), but I can't get it to playback on my
laptop using Media Center, Media player or Real Player. None of them seem
to be able to load a vcd from D drive. I also want to view it on a tv.

Any suggestions?
