photos in wrong places

I have a ton of photos on my website. Recently when adding photos, I
noticed the program was replacing old photos with the new ones I'm adding
(i.e. in the wrong place). Also thumbnails are now hyperlinking to the wrong
photos? Is this caused by exceeding some limit of photos or do you have any
other suggestions?
