Photocopier in Win XP SP2?

I would like to make photocopies with my basic scanner (only good for
scanning, no printer attached). If I use the "Scanner and Camera Wizard",
and then print out the scan on my default printer, I get some rather poor
photocopies.

Is there a better way of making photocopies using Win XP SP2? Or, do I need
an outside program?

If so, is there a free photocopier program that I could download somewhere

Thanks?

Did some software come with your scanner? There might be a copier application
included. There was with my $40 HP scanner. It works great.

If you look at the Scanner and Camera window (Opens when you double click on
the scanner) from My Computer,
You should see a button with the legend Custom. Clicking on it should allow
you to change such things as the scanner resolution, brightness, etc.
I suspect that the default is too low for a good quality copy.
What application are you using to view and print (copy) the document?
Next, the printer may be printing using it's default settings.

You probably just need to scan the doc at a higher resolution or use the
software that came with the scanner.
