Hi:
I've been using 'Microsoft Digital Image 2006' since 2007 or earlier. It's
been a terrific program, particularly 'Photo Shop' when in needing to
enhance images and etc. However, on XP/SP3, MDI 2006 is VERY sluggish and
often it's hard to load photoes.

My question is;
What or which Photo-Shop/program is more compatible to XP/SP3?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I would highly recommend Paint.NET. It's free.

Just out of curiosity, did you see this in the Download Center ?

"Digital Image 2006 Update"

Adobe Photoshop CS3 works quite well on this computer with XP SP3. You need
lots of memory and lots of free disk space for any of the image processing
programs. If you are the least bit short of memory, any of them will run
quite slowly.

Thanks for the responses.

Regarding 'memory,' the PC is an exact same memory and hard-drive capacity
to older PC with XP/SP1(?).

The MDI 2006 run fast and VERY smoothly and there was NO problem of loading
photoes.

Only issue started is that I changed to the PC with XP/SP3, then I suspect
XP/SP3 causing this issue.

Paul:
I downloaded 'update,' but after get home from work, I plan to test whether
UPDATE gives a trick.

Thanks,

I know nothing of MDI 2006 (or any other version).
However, there was no change in the operation of Photoshop CS3 after the
installation of XP SP3.
