Photo prints come out with a greenish cast

I'm using an HP5850 printer which had excellent photo printing under XP.
After I switched to Vista, my photo prints are coming out with a strong
greenish cast.

The HP printer driver comes pre-installed with Vista, and is the 5650
version (the same printer minus wireless).

I've tried disabling the color matching and color profiles for the OS, the
display, and the printer. I've tried various combinations of color profiles
to no avail.

The default color profile is the sRGB for the printer, which should be
reasonable.

Curiously, printing upon normal paper comes out with the right colors. It
appears to be only when I choose 4x6 photo printing, or perhaps photo paper
that causes the problem.

Any suggestions for why my photo printing would be bad?

Perhaps your color settings are such that color compensation is applied
twice, or incorrectly.
Most of the consumer printers are sRGB by default.
Unless you have the means to generate color correction files for your
individual printer, the driver color compensation settings are generally
left at the default settings.
