Hello Folks :
I need some advise, suggestions, Help on Front Page 2002
Photo Gallery.
1. When I creat a new Web Page in FP2002....and at the
time of creation add photos thru Photo Gallery...every
things works as it should. The WWW can view every thing.
Then when I update the Photogallery as in add photos or
remove photos....and then Publish it....the only photos
that show up on WWW are the initial photos. No updated
photo Gallery.
That means I cannot update the Photo Gallery.... Although
the updated page when published also updates the
respective photogallery folder and related images. But The
updates cannot be viewed by any one.
www.one-world-trading.com go to small kites.
Please give me some advise about fixing this.
Thanks !
Kirti

Have you recalculated hyperlinks on the live Web site? (Tools, Recalculate
Hyperlinks.)

Hello Jim :
No I didnot re calculate hyper links....but the web site
is real small. www-one-world-trading.com kites then large
kites. So it seems like FrontPage is confusing itself when
it comes to Photo gallery.
For a while yesterday I created a new web page ...and it
took some updates. This morning I added more photos thru
Photo Gallery and now none show up.
Please visit the site.....and look at the codes if
possible.
Thanks !

Hello Jim :
In my case photo Gallery is doing wierd things...and I am
sure there are folks that have run into the same problem.
Here is a discription. When I creat a web page and add 10
photos in photo gallery.....the first time i save the
page...every thing works just fine. The moment I add to
the photo gallery like say I add 10 more photos.. , that
page looks fine in preview in web browser, normal view
etc. But when I publish it to the www.....although the
updated pages are residing on the server...they can only
view the first 10 picture...or sometimes none at all. the
photoXXXX folder has the required photos etc.
It seems like Only the first time when photos are added to
a page it will work...like a one time deal. Please help.

How could I possibly know for sure? I'm not experiencing this problem! :)

What I'm suggesting is a common basic troubleshooting step when any
FrontPage component gets out of sync.

Hi Kirti,

I understand that. Please open the remote Web site and recalculate
hyperlinks. That is the very first thing you should do when a FrontPage
Server Extensions component is not working correctly.

Jim :
I re calculated the hyperlinks. Now what does that
do.....also please note Photo Gallery works just fine when
I first create a page and publish it. It only gives
problems when I add to a existing photo gallery or remove
photos from the Gallery.
Please help !
Thanks !

Recalculating hyperlinks will ensure that FrontPage is aware of new photos
added. Personally, I've never experienced the problem you are having. Just
following standard troubleshooting steps for problems like this.
