Photo gallery help-please

I am new to managing a recreational sport site as well as new to FP 2003- I
am trying to edit my photo gallery-removing pics & adding new ones. In my
remote site preview it looks perfect-(old pics gone: new pics there)but after
I publish I dont see the images on the site the old photos still remain ???
I've published all the images as well as the folder they are in....
*recently our host site had changed how we publish now use the FTP
method-since we've had to create a few work arounds for other tasks*
Any advice?
I'm not very technical savvy but am usually good at figuring things
out...but this is driving me batty!

Photo galleries are at best temperamental when any edits are attempted
- delete the Photo gallery and create a new one
In the long term look for a 3rd party replacement (like ~Jalbum)
