Photo Editor not on drop-down list of object types in Insert|Objec

I recently uninstalled and then reinstalled Office 2000 Standard.

I included Photo Editor as one of the components to be installed, and the
Photo Editor is available from Start|Programs|MicrosoftOfficeTools, but not
from Insert|Object in Word (i.e., the Photo Editor is not on the drop-down
list of object types).

How can I get Photo Editor back on that list? (I tried using "detect and
repair" in Word, but that didn't do the trick.)

Any help would be most welcome.

Hi Magda,

Have you run MS Office Photo Editor v3 from Start=>Programs?
It should show up in Word both in Insert=>Object and
in Tools=>Options=>Edit as a choice for picture editor.

If not, you may want to try to run a repair/reinstall of
MS Office 2000 from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control
panel if it's listed as 'run from my computer' in the feature
set there for Microsoft Office 2000.

Thanks, Bob. You're a lifesaver!

I ran Photo Editor from the Start|Programs menu.

On doing that, I was asked to place the Office CD into the CD-ROM drive, at
which point Photo Editor was installed. Now I can access it from within Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint.
