Photo database

'lo all,

Which program has features as:
- adding keywords and annotations to a photo
- searching on keyword
- make album
- catalog and use the database again without any loss of information on
the photos

not picasa (it is a good program but I 'd like to work outside the
program as I can inside with the photo's, f.i. a photo turned clockwise
in picasa is only turned this way in picasa, in the directory in
explorer the photo is still in its original position)

I use it and endorse the recommendation. However, be
aware of one limitation. Keep the number of images
in an album to uder about 1000. It can do some funny
things if too many images are included in an album.
This is probably a limitation of the Microsoft Jet
database engine, rather than the program.

Are you sure? (aka do you have examples?)

PS. I did do some test with up to 10.000 jpegs in one album.

I ran into problems a number of years ago, and the new versions
of both myalbum & Microsoft Jet may have made a difference.

From memory, the indexes of the images got corrupted. i.e. when
new images were added they were not located at the end of the
album and other image thumbnails changed their locations.
Also, the window for displaying the thumbnails ran out of
space and the thumbnails at the end of the window could not
be viewed.
