Phone Numbers Part 2

Greetings

Thanks to help from several of you, I discovered the very helpful ParsePhoneNumbers function on the Pearson site. What I want to know now is: How do I do the opposite? What if I've got two columns, one with area code and one with the local number and I want to combine them into one column. I also want to remove the "-" from the local number.

Thanks.

Thanks for the help Frank! Also, what if I wanted to then delete columns A and B, leaving only C with the combined data? Right now if I delete A or B, it disrupts the formula in C.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this kind of thing in Excel.

Hi
no problem asking questions here :)
Try the following after you entered all the formulas
- select column C
- copy it (e.g. hit CTRL+C)
- goto 'Edit - Paste Special' and choose values
- now you can delete column A+B
