Phone numbers and mobile numbers

How do i get phone numbers and mobile numbers to my mobile phone that are in
correct format to use in sydney australia. (most numbers are local or
interstate)When i transfer numbers from outlook i get international and local
numbers with the each phone number, which seems to cause a problem, how do i
remove?
Also in outlook mobile numbers are always a mess +61 (0) 414565556
why cant number be 0414 565 556.
There seems to be a few people having problems??
Can anyone give simple advice how to do this??

Store your phone numbers in full international format. Your phone will then
dial the numbers properly. Full international format means include the "+"
sign and the country code, but do **not** include the leading "0". The 0 is a
dialing prefix, it is not part of the phone number itself. So, in the example
you gave, the number should be formatted like this:
+61 (4) 14565556
