I have seen that there is a way to setup a Phone message
in Outlook, so users do not have to send an email, or
give someone a sticky yellow note.

I want to setup While you were out, I know this can be
done in Novell's groupWise.

How do u do it in Outlook, within a Workgroup?

I just want clear defined instructions, as when I search
I get numerous posts about this, regarding Office 97 file
that u can download.

But I want to set this up in Outlook 2002, with a toolbar
button so people can send each other Phone messages to
say who has called, to their POP3 mail.

Please help

This needs to be done using a custom form. That While You Were Out form will
still work in Outlook 2002. The catch is; the recipient must be able to
receive Rich Text-formatted messages for these custom forms to work
correctly.

It's worth giving it a try.

Download the While You Were Out app from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...F9-19EE-477F-9BC3-F20A95AFE76E&displaylang=en

Install the EXE that downloads.

In Outlook 2002, select File | Open | Outlook Data File

Browse to the location of your Office install (probably C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\). The PST file will be name, "While You
Were Out.pst".

Now select Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Custom Forms |
Manage Forms.

Select the Set button on the left.

Select the Folder Forms Library option, and the click the + next to the
While You Were Out PST to expand it.

Select the While You Were Out folder, and then select OK.

Select While You Were Out in the white box, and then select the Copy button.
This should copy the form into your Personal Forms Library.

Now Select Close | OK | OK | OK.

The form should now be available to use. You can close the While You Were
Out PST now, if you want.

You can use the techniques found here:
http://www.slipstick.com/dev/launchform.htm
....to create a means to easily open the custom form for use. My personal
favorite is the Toolbar button method.

Hi Lloyd
Hi have the same request. Did you have any luck getting Outlook to do the same thing as Groupwise?

Hi - you didn't post the original message, so I don't know that anyone will
be able to figure out your question. I suggest you post a new message, not a
reply, with more detail as to what you're trying to do.
