How do I speed Auto dialer. It takes up to three minutes to dial a call over
the phone line.
Outlook dials immediately, so I know all the modem settings are correct.

I'd try rewritting the code to use only the single control containing the
phone number. I haven't used a dialer in almost 10 years, but when I set up
one a few minutes ago using the wizard generated code, and altering it to
read from a text box only, the dialer activated the modem in slightly over a
second.

Have you had any luck, I have the same problem trying to dial using Palm
Desktop the dialer takes minutes to come up Phone Dialer or Dialer.exe is a
product developed by Active Voice version 1.5 1998 which was bought by Cisco.
I can't find an upgraded or newer version. Once it does come up it take for
ever to initiate a call. Does anyone know of a newer version ?

Hi Arvin
Can you help me, I'd like to be able to dial a number from the Access 2003
database 'forms view' by clicking the telephone field or a button beside it.
I have tried but I get nowhere. Is there a tutorial a fool like me can
follow? By the way, I need to dial 9 before the number.

Thanks
David.

All you need to do is open the form in Design View and open the toolbar. Now
make sure the wizards are turned on (the wand on the top right corner). Add
a command button and select Miscellaneous from the list. Now select
Auto-Dialer and your almost done. Make whichever adjustments that you need
for your form.
