I have somehow managed to loose my HDD in the Boot Device Priority section
of the BIOS while trying to change the boot priority to floppy. Restoring
setup defaults doesn't help, they're still gone. I've disconnected to CMOS
battery and it's still missing. I now can't boot the PC. Ugh!! Help!!!

HD is set to auto detect in cmos?
the harddrive is being detected?
Sometimes when the "Harddrive' is missing from the list its because the HD
is not being detected in the first place.

It's being detected OK. The floppy and Zip are not showing up either. This
was all caused by trying to get the floppy to boot first. It wasn't on the
origional boot list.
At the moment the Boot sections shows:
+Removable Devices
+Hard Drives
CD-ROM Drive
The trouble is they do not open out to any devices by hitting Enter or
Control-Enter. When I first started, they did.

I had to set the HDD from Auto to None, save the settings, re-boot, set it
back to auto, save the settings, re-boot, then when you go back in it's
there in the boot section.
