I just installed a Phillips Aurilium external sound card. I did not remove
my old Sound Blaster card.

It appears to work well, but my old icon next to the clock is gone, and I
don't know how to replace it. The Sounds and Audio Properties icon has
"Place volume icon in the taskbar" checked.

When I open Control Panel to find the Aurlium Sound Agent 2 icon and the
Sounds and Audio Devices icon, I find a leftover AudioHQ icon, even though I
have uninstalled all of the Sound Blaster software (drivers re-loaded after
I rebooted). Clicking on it does nothing, but I don't see how to delete
it.

Try this:

1) Un-check "Place volume icon in the taskbar" check box in Sounds and
Audio Properties icon and click on "Apply"

2) Then, re-check "Place volume icon in the taskbar" check box and click
"Apply".

This sould "reset" the placing of the icon.

My problem was that I didn't reboot. I had it set, but leave my computer on
- a couple of days later the icon still wasn't there. So I rebooted, and
it showed up.
