Phenom II X3 versus Athlon II X3

It looks to me as if the only difference between the Phenom II X3
and the Athlon II X3 is that the Phenom II X3 has an L3 Cache of
6MB. How much difference does an L3 Cache make?

What types of programs are affected the most by an L3 Cache?

What types of programs are affected the least by an L3 Cache?

BTW, Athlon II's Level 2 cache is bigger than that of P II!
