Personal.xls not loading

Hi,

For some reason my personal.xls macro workbook is not loading when I start
Excel. It is still in the XLSTART folder, and I can open it from Explorer,
but it doesn't load automatically as it used to. I have tried re-booting my
system, with no luck.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Go to Window-Unhide and see if its there.

I've tried that, but "unhide" is greyed out, as if there is nothing to unhide.

I'm running Windows Vista and my folder ( Personal.xls ) is at
C:\User\Myname\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART.
If its not there I can't help you, post again

Maybe excel thinks that there is something wrong with it and has quarantined it.

In xl2003 menus, you can use:
Help|about microsoft excel|disabled items

If it's there, you can re-enable it. But if the file is really corrupted, you
may need to restore it from one of your backup versions.

i've had this problem for 2 weeks now.
i even created a new personal and transfered all my macros.
cleared up now.

Is that excel file corrupt? If so, maybe you can try some Excel file
recovery tools, such as Advanced Excel Repair to repair your Excel
file.
