Personal Folders

I had to have my computer reformatted and I e-installed Office 2007. I now
have 2 personal folders in addition to a folder for each one of my e-mail
addresses.

I have tried to get back to my previos format by uninstalling and
reinstalling Outlook but it immediately puts all the same folders without
even having to do an import.

How do I consolidate all these folders?

Depends whether these Personal Folders are mirror images of each other or
contain differing data

They're not images--there are different things in every folder. The last
folder (a personal folder) has all the my imported information in it. The
first personal folder had nothing in it unless I dragged something from
another folder.

Previously, all my e-mail would go to one inbox no matter what address it
was sent to and now every address has it's own folder with subfolders. I
foulnd directions that said highlight the folder, click Edit and Delete.
Delete is not an option. I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I can't find it.

If you formatted your PC then reinstalled win and Programs, then you /
someone must have done something more in the setting up of Outlook.
If the accounts are all pop accounts then there will only be a single
default set of Personal Folders
If the accounts include Imap accounts then there will be seperate sets of
Personal Folders
If Exchange is involved, then thats a whole new ball game

If you're using a POP account, then make the PST containing your data the
delivery location. Use either the Mail applet in Control Panel (the Data
Files) button or Tools>Account Settings>Data Files to specify the PST
containing your data as the default PST.. If you do this from within Outlook,
stop and restart Outlook. If you do it with the Mail applet, then next time
Outlook starts, it should be correct. Then close the unused PST so it no
longer appears in the Navigation Pane.
