I recenlty had to reformat my hard drive. I use Windows XP. Before doing this
I copied my Personal Data Files to a CD. When I ty to add these files as data
files in Outlook the software does not recognize them as Outlook PST files.
Is there a way to correct this?

You have copied the files back to your HDD?

When you copy files to a CD, they become Read Only. When you copy them back
to a hard drive, they remain Read Only. Outlook cannot use the file if it is
read only. Things are further complicated by the fact that Outlook's error
message does not mention specifically that the read only issue is the
problem. You have to right click the file, pick properties, and un-check
the Read Only Attribute.

Does the error message say that they aren't Personal Folders files or simply
that it can't open them? What's the EXACT error?
