I have Outlook 2003 and Windows XP. Suddenly, my Outlook is telling me that
I "don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation" when I try
to move files to another folder or to delete files in my In or Junk Mail
folders. I tried to find a solution in Help without success.

Thanks. It is a slow process, but did seem to work for now. I guess that I
have to study up on an archiving process. This aspect of Outlook is most
frustrating to have to deal with as I do find that some very old e-mails are
needed from time to time and to recover and search through archived files is
such a tedious process. Anyway, I do appreciate this advise as I did not
know about the scanpst.exe feature.
