Permissions

I wish I could find a nice tutorial on NTFS permissions. There is clearly
something about them I do not understand. The example this time: I have
created a user account and given that user account FULL CONTROL permissions
on a file folder. I then attempt to access that file folder via FTP with
that user account and password. I can access the folder (list contents) but
I cannot write to it. I am told that access is denied. WHAT IS THE DEAL???

This is frustrating moreso because the problems seem inconsistent. About
two weeks ago I did the same thing (with a different user account) and I was
able to gain write access via FTP. I have to assume that there is something
basic that I just do not understand. If anyone can help me out with a link
to a tutorial or something, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, RAB

Have you checked out the Windows help files? (Start / Run / Search tab /
type permissions / select the appropriate subject).
