I have an Exchange mailbox (called "Info") that I want several people to access and be able to perform all email functions (read, reply, forward, delete) with the inbox. This includes replying using the mailbox's identity in the 'From' field. I don't want the email to go out with the "<xxx> on behalf of Info." wording.
I've gotten to the point where the user's Outlook 2003 opens this 'Info' mailbox automatically (using the 'open these mailboxes' option on the 'Advanced' tab of the Exhange Server's 'More Settings...' window. The user can do everything, including sending replies but get's a reply from Exchange with the following error:
'You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.'
The recipient of the email reply is an internet address outside our organization.
I've logged into a computer as 'Info' and granted permissions set for this user to be 'Author' in the mailbox by using Outlook to open the mailbox and then using the Tools->Options->Delegates process. When that didn't work, I changed the permissions to 'Editor' with no change.
How do I set up this 'Info' mailbox so we don't get this error?
Thanks.
Jon
