Permissions & Importing

I imported the objects of my old database into a new database, so as to
change the owner of the objects from Admin to myself. Before the import, I
removed the permissions for myself from all objects in the new database. In
the old database, of course, I was a member of the Admins group.

After importing all the objects and data into the new database, I noticed
that I had explicitly been given all permissions. Is that the way it's
supposed to work? It wouldn't seem that way, since I was a member of the
Admins group to start with. Wouldn't that be enough?

Why? Also what objects, given that you hadn't imported any yet?

As owner you have full permissions to the objects.
