Permissions dialog has objects out of alpha order

After adding some new objects to a secured db, I find that the order in
which objects (like forms) are listed in the permissions dialog is no
longer alpha. The new items are all piled up at the end of the list.
I've decompiled and all of that sort of thing and nothing has helped so
far. Did find any posts here about this, but hoping someone has a fix. I
missed setting a perm properly because the object 'went missing' on me,
a typicallly rude introduction to a bug!

IIRC, the objects are listed in creation order, not alphabetically.
I can't believe it, but I guess you're right. It must be that
reimporting all db objects resorts the list (via creation date) and
that's why I've had the impression that they are listed in alpha order.
I import all to a new db as a part of the sec process, so I tend to see
well sorted lists.

Listing out of alpha order is terrible, way to go Microsoft! Sorting a
list, very advanced, or offering a option to sort either way, rocket
science. Is anyone aware on an add on for Access security? I'm sure
they'd have objects sorted in addition to whatever else they provide.
