Permission issue?

I have gone from XP Pro to XP Home Edition and it looks like there is
a lot of new stuff to learn.

What do you need to learn on the XP Home version after having XP Pro? Just curious

The reason for going "backward" is that I found a better system in a
dumpster than my older one that had XP Pro.

When logged in as a Limited User, I can zip up and run files in a zip
file, but I can't delete files in the zip file.

Can I do that as a limited user without making the directory a shared
one?

It does sound like once you create it you don't have write permission
to it...

To change access permissions in XP Home, one way is to bring up the
command prompt (Start -> Run -> "cmd") then use the "cacls" command
( type "cacls /?" for syntax)
.... which is a bit ugly ...
or you can boot your machine to Safe Mode and then you will have a
"Security" tab on the Properties screen for files and folders.
