"Permission Error"is preventing me from saving my text on diskette

The 'Subject' states the complete problem. Anything fuurther would be "what
is 'Permissioon Error" and how could I have committed it -- with my own text,
created by me, alone?

Somehow I suspect that this has nothing to do with Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional, and the subject of this
newsgroup.

One common reason for that error would be trying to copy a file that's in
use. Other than that, I'd suggest posting in a newsgroup related to whatever
operating system you're using.

Thank you Doug Steele. The word 'Access' ['"database product . . . Office
Professional"] in this context is a stranger to (computer novice) me. I was
not aware of doing anything unusual in trying to save my text on a diskette,
but, armed with your reply, I shall try again and let you know.
