Hello all, I have a pivot table showing amount of claims against each month.
If I want to show this as a percentage of the grand total is there an easy
way to show this. I can do it manually by creating a seperate column and
adding a formula to divide each month by yhe total, but if the pivot table
changes I may have to manually change the formula.
thanks in advance.
p.s as a new poster is it newsgroup etiquette to post thanks after the reply
or just post thanks in advance.

Hi

This should probably be possible with a "calculated field" in the pivot
table. Consult Help on how to set one up.

Dear Greg
An Easisr way to do this is to double click on the data
field heading. This will cause a dialogue box to open.
when it does, click on the "Options" button. This will
cause a new section to appear on the dialogue box. From
the "Show data as" drop down, select "% of total"

This should hopefully give you what you want.

Hope this helps

Wow! Never used that one. Thanks Paul, definitely trick of the day.
