Percent of Total

I can't seem to figure this out...and it's not even Monday.

I have a list of numbers kind of like this, only there's more of them:
395
102
59
45
Total: 601

I'm trying to figure out what percentage of the total each number
is...anyone help me?

Hi Gee

assuming your numbers are in cells A1:A4 and the total is in A5 then in B1
type
=A1/$A$5
click on the % on the toolbar to format to percentages
and fill down to B4

if your total is in A5 use in B1:
=A1/$A$5
format this cell as percentage and copy down

i find it always helps to write out the question ... and its amazing how the
brain kicks in 2 mins after pressing the send button isn't it
