Do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed?
If this is a 64-bit machine, it won't work either as Adobe for some reason
still hasn't developed a 64-bit compatible version. There are other 3rd
party solutions though.
Save the .pdf attachment in the e-mail to a file on the hard disk. In
Windows Explorer, double-click on that .pdf file (or any other .pdf
file that you happen to have). What application opens to display that
PDF file?
I had to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it to get it to fix the
previewer it installed broken the first time.
