foxit is the lamest?... cant be.. its lighting fast on my computer...

what kind of setup do you have?

PIII-S 1083MHz, 768MB, XP SP2. 16Tasks / 198 Threads / approx. 3300
Handles after startup.

The rendering of Vector-graphics is much faster with Adobe. Otherwise,
exactly here lies the moment when it starts to lame. Although, Adobe is
faster. Making bigger/faster memory movements in the same time, and
when not laming it renders much faster (5x 3x.. ?, than Foxit)

Have I forgot to disable/enable something on Foxit?

But there's no incentive for him to try Version 7, whether or not
it's improved.

I'm like Daniel -- I gave up on Adobe at Version 6, because it was
so awful. I then found a substitute, and even if Verson 7 is
better -- once an extra tool is used to disable plug-ins -- why
would one bother trying it?

My take on this is that Adobe blew their chance with Version 6, and
that there's no reason to bother trying Version 7 now that I've
found a nice, clean, fast, non-install alternative.

FWIW, Adobe is to read pdf files. I prefer small programs. Adobe v4
reads pdf files and it is smaller than later version. Conclusion: you got it!

So I thought. Installed 7 and was satisfied. Then the update-reminder
wanted to dl the 7.0.1 or 7.0.2 update and I let :-.). Result? Lame!

7.0.7 seems to work o.k again. Faster than 6 anyway.

Sorry to say that, but Foxit is the lamest. Fastest is 5, then 7, 6,
GSView, Foxit. FreePDF or so, is also not so fast.

Can GSview be set up to show documents on screen? Is there a GUI for
it?
