pdf problems

PowerPoint 2003 I am receiving slides with mulitple layers of animations -
we turn them into PDF with Distiller. slides with animations show up either
blank or black or not at all!

Any suggestions?
 
What if you remove the animations before printing? I would be surprised if
that helps, but it's not too difficult to try as a test...

Are the multiple layers semitransparent or gradient-filled objects?
