Hi Mike,
Several months ago I saw a freeware PDF to text converter on
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/Free_PDF_Text_Reader_23202_p/
I haven't had to use it yet so I can't really comment on it.

Thanks, will try it. Funny that on the same site this morning, was the
shareware program with a similar title.
This is a classic case of managed "Freeware".

I used Easy PDF to Text Converter to convert a 540 page docment. It did
it in less than one and a half minutes. Quite good conversion. Would
need a bit of correcting. However the 540 pages translated to 540
individual files! Each page converted deparately.
Is there a prog that stiches together individual text files? Cutting
and pasting individually is going to be a nightmare.

Why am I not surprised? Perhaps because I just posted that it appears to
be a bait and switch operation. . .![]()
So that makes this "freeware" - shareware, freedownloadware.
crippleware ... did I leave anything out?
Susan, thanks for all the research. What a mess. I will try both of them, Foxit
was always a big dissapointment in this area.
