Hi all,

I'm looking for a tool to create PDF-forms with dropdown-lists, combo-boxes,
etc. After filling in the form the user must be able to *save* the form as a
backup.

I know is possible with extensions in Adobe Acrobat Professional, but it's a
bit costly.

Any freeware around that can do the trick?

Thanx already!

Yes, but it is heavy on the resources of your system: Scribus has
provisions to so so, and it also can save directly to PDF, available from
http://www.scribus.net/ Also: Open Office's Writer can do so (under "View",
"Toolbars" activate the 'Form Controls' toolbar), OO is available from:
http://www.openoffice.org

Saving a filled PDF is not depending on the program the PDF was created in,
but on the reader program used. Not all of Aobe's own readers can do that;
you'd have to upgrade to at least version 6(.1 if I remember correctly) in
order to be able to do so. Perhaps FoxIt can do it, but I haven't tried
this yet!
