can't get the download from Adobe to work. The download manager is
pulled down ok but when run it just hangs there doing, what seems to
be, nothing!
Is there a known problem?
Bill said:Perhaps. Vista and IE7 has an issue with HTTPS sites, so if the site is
secure, it may not work properly.
In the mean time, I recommend you give Foxit Reader a try. It's free,
small, and fast. It does most of what the bloated Adobe reader does,
although I'm not sure if it runs in x64 or not. I know it works in x86
just fine.
It's a small single executable file though, so there is no installation
needed if you use the zip file, and if it doesn't, just delete it:

Foxit is running great!
