PDF files

I don't know if I'm in the right forumn but I would like to know if a PDF
file can be imported in excel. and if so what software is required.

Not directly. To get the data from a PDF: get the full version of Acrobat,
open the PDF and SaveAs some format that Excel can deal with (Text, Word,
XML, etc). How well this works depends on how the PDF was created in the
first place. If the source application uses a complex document structure
where all the text elements are floating (eg Corel or Publisher), then the
output save from PDF may be effectively unintelligible.
