Hi,

is there any FREEware for converting PDF files to Word documents?

I can only find trial versions (Scansoft etc.)

Hi, Dieter,

I've tried a whole bunch of these just recently (all demo versions), all going
by the name something-2doc or similar. Only one of them ** really ** worked for
me: Able2Doc. All the others pretty much failed, usually just converting the
text in diagrams and not the lines being a common failure mode.

None were freeware. However, when I decided the human is still better than the
software at this sort of thing, my brother told me that StarOffice can read in
PDF and export DOC. However, I've not tried this - 60MB for a PDF to DOC
converter just doesn't float my boat!
