.PDF Attachments open only as garbage.

When attemping to open Acrobat attachments (.PDF), they
only open as scrambled garbage. Acrobat reader 6 is
installed. The attachments open fine if the file is saved
first but I notice that the icon is not an Acrobat icon
even after the save. Other acrobat files show up with the
correct icon. Any ideas?

That's a mystery to me. I don't doubt it for a second however.

If you havent already, try opening Acrobat first and opening the file
through that.
Also if the files are coming from one particular source, they could be the
problem.

In my experience, all pdf files are hardly more than scrambled garbage.
I'll never understand the popularity of them.
