PDC Emulator

Hi,
What is the role / need of PDC Emulator in a W2K Native
mode ? what will happen if the PDC Emulator is offline in
Native environment?

Hoping some inputs to cleat my doubts..

And by default GPO's are edited on PDC emulator ;.-)

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the PDC
emulator also manage secure channels for NTLM trusts?
