PCMCIA SRAM

Barry

I can't get XP Pro to read my SRAM on a PCMCIA card. The
card reader worked with Windows ME, I was told to buy an
external card reader. I did. The external card reader
will not work with Windows XP. After talking to there
tech support, I was told there card reader had no drivers
for XP, and they had no intention of writing any, because
Microsoft was not sharing the proper code needed to write
them. Is there any way to read a PCMCIA SRAM card with XP?

Hi,

If the manufacturer will not provide drivers, there is little you can do.
You might try a Win2000 driver if one is available, but there is no
guarantee. By the way, that excuse they gave you is baloney, they just do
not want to support that card under WinXP. More likely it is they want you
to buy a newer product.
