Why? Half the point of a video card is to off-load tasks from the CPU, if
you even could do this it would diminish the reason for even having a add-in
card.
With most video cards (modern) that is a quick to fix in the display
settings.
Its more complicated than that with modern onboard video which
arent very different from many PCI video cards cpu load wise.
Nope, not if you just want to run two monitors with
relatively non demanding apps like Office etc.
If he wants to use dual monitors like Rod stated, he can. I have done it
even on a crappy EMachines computer (lets just say I was kinda broke until
I broke out I bought when I had two deadbeat roommates five or so years
ago with a budget ATI card. The mobo's video output worked as the secondary
display without any changes to system settings.
disable ur on board
install ur pci and boot
install ur driver for ur pci
shut down
enable ur onboard
install the driver for the onbard
check device manager u should have 2 vid
and windows will display 2 monitor in display property
enable the 2ns display and now u can move stuff offscreen
to the ohter monitor
