Yes, I know what you're thinking. Get what you pay for. It was a gift!
Cannot load ANY microsoft operating systems on this MB. Receive error
messages on blue screen, re: hardware configuration. Attempted to load
numerous times after removing all expansion cards except the video
card, changed memory with know good memory, changed video cards etc.

I have attempted to flash the BIOS with the latest from the PCHIPS
website. I receive an error message from the award flash application
saying the file part number does not match which I assume means the
new BIOS file is not correct for my version of the motherboard 3.1.
Requested tech help, have yet to hear from PCCHIPs.

Any troubleshooters out there who would like to take a crack at this?
Thanks in advance.

Might just be a bad board (it happens), ECS and PCHIPS are a roll of the
dice, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get a "good" board.

The failed BIOS flash is a major FU....Were you doing the flash from
dos or windows? Have you tried to 'clear' the CMOS by unplugging the
rig and pulling the battery and or shorting the jumper. Are you
booting from the XP/2000 Disk or are your going with a 9x version?

Thanks to everyone for the advice and help. Late yesterday afternoon I
finally received an email from tech support which said I needed to add
the following switch to the command line AWDFLASH M030910.bin /QI
where the /QI overrides part number/file mismatch. Had not seen this
before and would have been helpful to have this information on the
website. With this help, I was able to flash the BIOS and load XP. FYI
and Thanks again.
