screen,i have tried all of the them but to no avail except "start windows
normally",then it goes to the windows xp screen where after about 7 bars
crossing it reboots to the" last known config... also i just took the side
off his tower and there is alot of dust inside and will be getting some
pressured air to clean;if the dust is the problem can someone explain?

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode?

Restart your computer, and then press F8 during the initial startup to
start your computer in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with a command prompt.

In Safe Mode type or paste the following command in the Start - Run box
then press Enter. In Safe Mode Command Prompt type the following command
then press ENTER.

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to restore your
computer to an earlier state.

Dust can be a problem, but this would not usually manifest itself so
quickly after powering on the computer, unless the dust accumulation
is so thick that it is blocking the fans from turning. And I have
only ever seen that once.

Heat is the enemy of computers. And dust is an excellent insulator,
so when computer components are coated with dust they retain their
heat and run hotter than normal, somtimes very much hotter. This has
two effects:

1. The hotter a computer component gets while it is running the more
rapidly it ages and therefore the sooner it will fail.

2. When temperatures reach a critical point compenents are likely to
fail completely or become unstable/unreliable.

Dust removal should be an annual maintenance item for a computer, and
more often if it is in a high dust environment such as where there are
numerous pets in the household and/or the streets in the area are not
paved.

Good luck
