PC wants to save pictures in bmp instead of jpg from net, Help

In the past I have always saved images from the net into my documents. I
scrapbook and love to save a copy
of layouts for reference. For some odd reason now when I save them it wants
to save them in bmp format instead
of jpg. Even when I right click on the image it only shows bmp in the drop
down window. I must have changed something
without realizing it.
Any idea what I might have done?'

The Temporary Internet Files is confused. Clear it in Start - Control Panel - Internet Options - Delete Files - tick Delete Offline Content (unless you know you don't want to) - OK.
