Could someone tell me how to turn a wmp video into vhs.
what software/cables do i need, and can i make the
transfer without activly running the video on my pc.

If you have a tv out port on the graphics card you may be able to do it from
that, but it'd probably record the player as well. If you have an analogue
capture card for video this will play out video and allow you to record to a
vhs machine, using editing software. You would need to play the video to
record it.
