pc to tv

im trying to get my pc to use my tv as a monitor, its connected by s-videa
cabel but it only shows up in black n white - i think is to do with the nstc
or pall thing but i cany find an option to change it.
am i missing something or have i done it rong ?

A standard TV doesn't usually work well as a monitor. It does not have the
resolution capability for much more than 640x480, if that.
I have no idea what you are using that has an Svideo output. Likely a video
card. This may have a fixed or switchable PAL or US or other s video output.
If it's a TV tuner card, it may have a switchable output. Some of the older
TV cards had a connector and cable that allowed the PC video signal from a
SVGA video card to be an input to the TV card.
