PC qualifications

Not sure if anyone can help in this group however, I want to gain a couple
of qualifications here in the UK.

The courses are:

Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
CompTIA A+ Computer Maintenance
CompTIA Network + Computer Networking

I have looked at the course notes and its all stuff I already know but I
need to know if the above qualifications are industry recognised or whether
I would be wasting my money. Although I know the stuff already I really
need something which employers will recognise as a qualification.

they are recognized here (Nova Scotia)

employers will ask for those or the Microsoft certifications (which I think
are way too pricey)

I am in the process of re-writing the tests to update my certificates (1999)
....it's always good to have the paper :>

Thanks for the quick reply.
I am not interested in the MCSE. Not only is it very expensive, but it also
does not cover the sort of field I wish to work in.
I do not know how much these courses are yet, am waiting for a call back
from them tomorrow :-)
 
Adding to Haggis, if you know most of these Materials and you know you
could
do without a tutor and practicle scenarios which I doubt any training
centre
have the time or the guts to provide you can just buy the Books and CDs
from
the CompTia website and just pay for the test in many test centres near
from
you.

Actually I had not considered that, thankyou. I shall research the exam
costs and check out their website.
