If i leave my pc idol it hangs and freezes after about 15 minutes? It does
this even with the network access disabled? This has been happening since the
thing was built practically and im wondering wether its the Western Digital
drive that previously reported bad sectors or the mobo which is an asus.
Although on asus forum i saw no such chronicles of similar occurances? So
that leads me to the western digital? The only other thing i can think of is
that AMD cpu's are unstable? Is that a possibility? My mind thinks its the
hard disk but if i buy a new hard disk and copy over all the data will the
bad sectors replicate on the new drive? Any help much welcome

Any and all of the above are possible. There is no way that people just
reading about your computer can give you an accurate diagnosis. You have to
do systematic hands-on hardware troubleshooting. You can't just guess
and/or start replacing things willy-nilly. If you aren't skilled with
hardware troubleshooting, take the machine to a professional computer
repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If
possible, have all your data backed up before you take the machine into a
shop.

Your "my pc idol"? Have you made the correct sacrifices to the deity that
your idol represents?

If a hard drive is showing bad sectors it is usually a sign that the drive
is failing. Bad sectors are usually
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_sector) a physical fault with the drive
platters and as such I cannot see how you could replecate the bad sectors
onto a new drive.
